WE’RE HERE TO HELP

At Big Lake Community Food Shelf, we treat our clients with the utmost dignity and respect they deserve. We understand that everyone hits a bump in the road every now and then. We’re here to help you get back on the road.

  • We ask you visit the food shelf for regular services once per month.  You are welcome to come as often as you would like for our additional programs such as Pop Up Pantry and Freebie Friday.  Please see our Website for more details.

  • We are a choice model food shelf, which means you will select the food you want.  On Mondays/Wednesdays we use an online choice list.  On Thursdays you are able to shop for your food in person.

  • Mondays and Wednesdays are on-line ordering by appointment only.  Thursdays are in person shopping by appointment only.   Appointments must be set up 24 hours prior to service time.

The food shelf is located at 160 Lake St. N in the City Hall building.

Every Friday, anyone who needs a little extra help with their food budget is welcome to come to the food shelf between 11:30 a.m. through 12:30 p.m.  This visit is an extra and does not affect your regular monthly visit.  Watch for special added “Freebie” days posted on Facebook.

Throughout the year, we offer special meals to help families get through traditionally hard seasons. Special services include Summer Kidz Kitz, Holiday Meal Boxes, Birthday Bags, and Free Produce Days.
